In Loving Memory of Pickle
Memory Keepers; The Forget-Me-Not Collection
This collection began as a way to capture moments in time, inspired by Pickle, my constant. He was never the independent cat people expect. He was my shadow, always there through every moment, from the happiest occasions to the most difficult days.
To some, he may have been just a cat, but to me, he was a dear friend. He left us with memories of laughter and joy, but also taught us how to care for someone who cannot communicate, yet needs unwavering support. He taught patience, kindness, and resilience.
In December 2025, after sudden weight loss, we were told he may not make it past Christmas. But Pickle fought with a strength that surprised both the vets and us. His determination to stay was apparently rare for a cat as unwell as he was. He remained with us until the 19th of January. That final week held everything that defined him: hope, love, and devotion to companionship.
He had a difficult start in life, living as a stray for over two years and surviving a serious injury. Yet he remained gentle and deeply loving to those he chose. Though shy with most, he chose his people, and I was lucky enough to be one of them.
Losing him felt like losing a part of myself. With that loss came a quiet fear that, over time, even the most important memories might begin to fade.
The Forget-Me-Not Collection Concept was created from that love, but also from that fear. Each Memory Keeper exists to hold onto the moments that shape us, both joyful and painful, so they are never truly lost. Each figure represents a memory or a lesson, inviting collectors to reflect, find comfort, and remember that both joy and loss can leave something meaningful behind.
The 19th of January marks the beginning of this collection, a way to honour his strength, his warmth, and the time we were given.
This collection concept is inspired by him, and is for anyone who wants to hold onto the moments that matter most.
